Group VAT Manager - London - Retail Sector

We are looking for an experienced and driven Group VAT Manager to join this London-based team during a period of significant transformation and growth. This is a pivotal role that combines strategic Indirect Tax advisory with compliance oversight and process improvement, offering the opportunity to influence the direction of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Indirect Tax strategy and advisory, with a primary focus on VAT across the UK and Europe
• Oversee compliance frameworks, ensuring strong controls and effective risk management
• Drive technology-enabled process transformation to modernise tax operations
• Partner with senior stakeholders to support international expansion and evolving commercial priorities

Candidate Profile:

• Proven VAT expertise at Senior Manager level, with the confidence to shape strategy and lead change
• Strong technical knowledge of UK and EU VAT regulations
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage across departments and functions
• A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation
