Senior Data Strategy Manager

Royal London Asset Management is looking for a Senior Data Strategy Manager to join our Property team on a 14 months fixed term contract. This role will play a key part in shaping and delivering the data strategy for RLAM Property, helping the team make better use of data, technology and insight across fund and portfolio reporting, benchmarking, analytics and decision making. Working closely with senior Property leaders, portfolio fund managers, asset managers and teams across RLAM, you will lead the development of data platforms, processes, governance and reporting solutions that support our active management of property investment assets for internal and external clients.
About the role
- Lead the delivery of the RLAM Property data strategy and, where appropriate, refine it to reflect evolving team and reporting requirements, as well as changes in technology.Manage data platforms and processes, driving automation and overseeing accurate data migration and automated data links, including APIs where appropriate
- Work with Risk, Compliance, Change Management and Data teams to establish effective data governance, controls and delivery plans
- Provide investment performance reporting, fund and portfolio benchmarking and data insight for Heads of Sectors, Portfolio Fund Managers and senior stakeholders
- Develop clear, relevant and interactive reporting and visualisation, including Sigma dashboards, to support asset, sector and fund-level decision making
- Work closely with the Data team and stakeholders across the business to identify, develop and implement AI-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency and deliver business value.
- Lead responses to data-related due diligence, RFI and investor queries, presenting data strategy and systems clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
About you
- Experience developing and delivering data strategy, change management or data transformation within an investment management, property or real estate environment
- Strong property experience, which may include working within asset management, chartered surveying, consultancy or banking
- Knowledge of modern data tools and technology, ideally including Snowflake, Sigma and AI, alongside strong data analytics and visualisation capability
- Strong understanding of property data, data structures, data management, reporting practices and investment performance or benchmarking
- Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to quickly develop credibility and work effectively with colleagues across the company
- Confident presentation and communication skills, with the ability to keep stakeholders updated on progress and explain complex data concepts clearly.
