EYFS Teacher - Barnet
We are seeking a nurturing, enthusiastic, and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Barnet, starting ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for an early years specialist who is passionate about supporting children during the most important stage of their learning and development.
The school has a strong focus on early years education and provides a stimulating, well-resourced environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. Staff work collaboratively and are supported by an experienced and approachable leadership team that values professional development and staff wellbeing.
As an EYFS Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. You will support children’s academic, social, emotional, and physical development while building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality EYFS lessons and activities
Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
Observe, assess, and track children’s progress across all areas of learning
Support children’s personal, social, emotional, and communication development
Differentiate activities to meet individual needs, including SEN
Work collaboratively with EYFS practitioners and support staff
Build positive relationships with parents and carers
Maintain accurate assessment records and learning journals
Promote positive behaviour, routines, and independence
Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Have experience teaching within EYFS
Have a strong understanding of the EYFS framework
Be caring, patient, and child-centred
Be creative, organised, and reflective in practice
Have strong communication and teamwork skills
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
