We are expanding our team and seeking a skilled and reliable CNC Operator to join the team at our workshop in North London.

We need a skilled CNC Homag Operator to join our busy manufacturing and workshop team. You will run Homag CNC routing, nesting machinery to produce high-quality furniture and joinery parts.
Key Responsibilities:Set up, test, and run Homag CNC machinery safely and accurately.
Read and understand technical drawings, CAD files, and cut lists.
Load programs using software like WoodWOP and adjust tool offsets or parameters.
Load raw wood panels and unload finished components.
Check finished parts with measuring tools to ensure correct sizes and high quality.
Change worn cutting tools and perform daily basic machine cleaning and maintenance.
Keep the work area clean and follow all health and safety rules.
About You
To be considered as a CNC Operator, you will need:
A minimum of three year’s experience in CNC programming, specifically within a woodworking or cabinet-making environment
Experience operating and programming multi-axis Homag CNC machining centres such as BHC, Centateq or Weeke
Knowledge of woodworking and joinery processes, including the machining characteristics of materials such as MDF, solid wood and laminates
An understanding of G-Code principles
Familiarity with Homag software, such as WoodWOP (or similar platforms like CutRite) or a strong foundation in Alphacam or Solidworx with a willingness to cross-train
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for design review and program generation
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to precision and quality control
Strong analytical and mathematical aptitude for calculating feeds, speeds and clearances
Excellent communication skills to effectively relay complex technical information to the production team
A relevant technical certification, vocational degree or apprenticeship in CNC Machining, Woodworking Technology or a related engineering field (preferred)
