Primary Purpose: The Manager, Treasury Operations is responsible for overseeing treasury operations across the European region, ensuring effective cash management, liquidity planning, banking administration, foreign exchange settlements, and compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. This role partners closely with Finance, Accounting, Tax, Shared Services, and regional business teams to optimise cash utilisation, support strategic initiatives, and drive operational excellence across treasury processes.

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Treasury Operations to:

Cash Management & Liquidity

• Manage daily cash operations for European legal entities, including review, authorisation, and release of payment and wire transfer requests through the treasury workstation
• Prepare and maintain short-term and long-term liquidity forecasts and cash flow projections for European entities
• Analyse cash positions, liquidity forecasts, funding requirements, and investment opportunities to provide recommendations regarding borrowing needs and deployment of excess cash
• Manage intercompany funding activities, including settlement of intercompany balances and recommendations regarding funding requirements across legal entities
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly cash, liquidity, and investment reports for senior management

Treasury Operations & Banking

• Maintain day-to-day relationships with banking partners across the European region
• Manage bank account lifecycle activities, including account openings, closures, signatory maintenance, and ongoing Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation requirements
• Serve as regional administrator for banking platforms and treasury management systems, ensuring appropriate user access, controls, and governance
• Review and approve bank account maintenance requests and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
• Manage and review bank fee analysis and account analysis reconciliations to identify optimisation opportunities

Foreign Exchange & Risk Management

• Coordinate settlement of intercompany foreign exchange hedges and spot FX transactions as required
• Support foreign exchange risk management activities by ensuring timely execution and settlement of approved transactions
• Monitor treasury exposures and assist in identifying opportunities to improve risk management practices

Trade Finance

• Manage the administration of letters of credit and bank guarantees, including issuance, amendments, renewals, and reporting
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and banking partners to support trade finance requirements and ensure compliance with company policies, external reporting requirements

Controls, Compliance & Audit

• Maintain treasury policies, procedures, and operational documentation to ensure strong internal controls and regulatory compliance
• Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance activities, including self-assessments, control testing, and documentation related to cash management and investments
• Lead responses to internal and external audit requests, ensuring timely and accurate completion of quarterly and annual audit requirements
• Ensure treasury activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, banking regulations, and governance standards

Process Improvement & Strategic Initiatives

• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within treasury operations, reporting, and treasury management systems
• Enhance treasury reporting and analytical capabilities by leveraging system functionality, data insights, and business requirements
• Support treasury-related aspects of acquisitions, integrations, restructurings, and other strategic initiatives
• Participate in special projects and perform ad hoc financial analysis to support business and treasury objectives

The accomplished individual will possess:

• 5+ years of Treasury experience for global companies, retail industry preferred
• Advanced Excel and PPT skills, with working knowledge of SAP and Hyperion
• Experience using a Treasury Management System, Kyriba knowledge preferred
• Innovative mindset that supports change and contributes ideas to drive continuous improvement
• Demonstrated experience leveraging automation and AI within the Treasury function
• Excellent storytelling, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated and strong prioritisation skills to effectively and consistently deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines
• Ability to effectively engage different audiences and communicate clearly and confidently
