A Leading Education Recruitment Agency is seeking motivated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils in mainstream and specialist SEN schools across Tottenham . This area has a high demand for SEN support staff due to the number of schools supporting pupils with SEMH, Autism, and behavioural needs .
Role Overview
As an SEN Teaching Assistant in Tottenham, you will work with pupils who may struggle with emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement with learning. Many pupils benefit from consistent adult support, clear routines, and strong positive role models .
You will work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to deliver structured support and behaviour strategies designed to help pupils succeed.
Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small-group SEN support
Support pupils with SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
Assist with behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
Encourage engagement and positive learning behaviours
Support pupils during transitions and unstructured times
Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Maintain safeguarding and behaviour records
Follow school policies and procedures
Working Environment
Schools in Tottenham are fast-paced and require SEN Teaching Assistants who are confident, adaptable, and resilient. You will be supported by experienced SEN teams and leadership staff, with clear expectations and behaviour frameworks in place.
Candidate Requirements
SEN, behaviour, or youth work experience preferred
Confident managing challenging behaviour
