Are you a nurturing, enthusiastic and reliable individual looking to make a real difference in early years education? We are seeking a Reception Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Shepherd's Bush starting September 2025.
About the Role:
As a Reception Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support the learning and development of pupils in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You'll play a key role in helping children settle into school life, foster curiosity, and build strong foundations for learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting pupils' learning through small group work and one-to-one interventions
Assisting with the preparation of classroom activities and resources
Encouraging and supporting children's personal, social, and emotional development
Helping to maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment
Supporting children with additional needs as required
Liaising effectively with staff and parents
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with young children, preferably within a school or early years setting
A warm and patient manner with a genuine passion for working with children
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive and flexible approach to teamwork
A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistant) is desirable
