Salary: £52,000-£60,000 pro rata

We’re looking for an Editorial Content Manager to join a collaborative content team supporting a complex, safety-critical industry. This role offers the chance to work on high-value, technical outputs that shape how information is communicated across the sector.
About the Role
You’ll work closely with a Senior Editorial Content Manager and the wider team to review, edit, and occasionally write or commission content. Your focus will be on ensuring that technical reports, summaries, and other documents are accurate, accessible, and aligned with editorial standards. The guiding principles are “less is more” and “hyper-accessible content.”
This role sits at the intersection of research, safety, sustainability, and technical innovation-so the ability to work with complex material and make it user-friendly is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Edit and proofread technical reports, summaries, and related content to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with editorial and brand guidelines.
Liaise with subject matter experts and technical authors to enhance structure and language.
Ensure materials are ready for publication through thorough quality checks.
Champion user-focused language and help technical authors communicate more effectively.
Manage content workflows to meet deadlines and coordinate production and distribution.
Support content planning across digital and print formats, adapting to changing priorities.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in copyediting and proofreading complex or technical material.
Strong understanding of structural editing, grammar, and publication processes.
Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively across departments.
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and common editorial tools.
A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to clarity and accessibility.
