Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Band 6/7 Locum Podiatrist to join our team starting in October for an initial 3-month period, with the role available on a part-time basis of 2 days per week. The successful candidate will be HCPC registered and have the right to work in the UK. This position requires a podiatrist with proven competency in vascular care, VAC (Vacuum Assisted Closure) therapy, and TCC (Total Contact Casting) application. You will play a key role in delivering specialised podiatric care, focusing on complex cases requiring advanced treatment techniques.
What your responsibilities will be for this Podiatry role?
As a Band 6/7 Locum Podiatrist, you will provide expert podiatric care with a specific focus on managing complex vascular conditions, applying VAC therapy, and implementing TCC techniques. Your responsibilities will include conducting detailed assessments, developing and executing advanced treatment plans, and monitoring patient progress. You will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care. Effective communication with patients to educate them about their conditions and treatment options is essential. Additionally, you will maintain accurate patient records and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- HCPC registration as a Podiatrist
- Right to work in the UK
- Relevant degree in Podiatry or equivalent qualification
- Proven competency in vascular care, VAC therapy, and TCC application
- Experience in managing complex podiatric conditions
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Availability to work part-time, 2 days per week
