About the Role

  • £43,034.40 per year + Company Car + 10% Bonus + Benefits
  • Based at Kensington & Chelsea Depot
  • Permanent / Full Time - 37.5 hours per week
  • Working pattern is from 06:00 to 14.30 (including one hour lunch), but flexibility is expected as these can change from time to time.
  • You will be expected to work on Saturday & Sunday 06:00 to 14.30 on a rota basis - every 3 weeks. (This will be classed as overtime - so in this instance you will be working 7 days per week)
  • You will be expected to work some Bank Holidays (These will be classed as overtime). This will definitely include Notting Hill Carnival during the August Bank Holiday weekend whereby you will be required through the night (This will be classed as overtime)

About the role

What will I be doing?

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for day to day operations, working closely with the other members of the management team, potentially with some weekend working involved.

You will:

  • Monitor refuse and recycling collection crews and carrying out inspections accordingly.
  • Monitor fleet compliance and also ensuring health and safety is always kept to a high standard.
  • You will also be tasked with various day to day roles which will include timesheets, ensuring staff levels are kept in line with budget, ensuring all staff are briefed on the roles and responsibilities required of them, issue toolbox talks as and when required and carry out inductions.

What are the requirements?

  • You must be able to demonstrate a good working practice and be able to make decisions accordingly.
  • Preferably have previous experience in recycling and waste management
  • Previous supervisory experience is essential.
  • Experience of working within a busy logistics operation involving fleet compliance is also desirable.
  • You will require a driving licence, good IT skills and previous experience with Microsoft packages.
