Operations Director – Fast Growing Foodservice Business – London - £120K + Benefits
** This role will require you to work one weekend in every four, with this time being given back in lieu. Please only apply if you are happy to do this.
My client is a fast-growing Foodservice business who have a fantastic reputation for their top-quality products and level of service which they provide to their customers.
They are currently seeking an Operations Director to join their team. The successful Operations Director will be responsible for leading and developing their operations across warehousing, logistics, supply chain, and customer service. You will ensure that our business operates efficiently, safely, and profitably, whilst driving continuous improvement and delivering exceptional service.
This is a pivotal leadership role within the senior management team, with the opportunity to shape the future of their operations and contribute to the long-term growth of the business.

Responsibilities include:
- Lead and oversee day-to-day operations across multiple sites (warehousing, transport, supply chain, customer service).
- Develop and implement operational strategies that support business growth and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, cost control, and service delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and develop operational teams to achieve performance and service excellence.
- Collaborate with commercial and finance teams to align operational capabilities with business objectives.
- Oversee budgets, KPIs, and performance reporting.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders.
The Ideal Operations Director Candidate:
- Proven leadership at senior operational level, ideally within the Foodservice or FMCG sectors.
- Strong background in logistics, warehousing, and supply chain.
- Commercially astute with excellent financial awareness.
- Experience in implementing change and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance.
- Excellent organisation, communication, leadership, and people development skills.
- Must be a critical thinker, with positive energy and ability to learn and adapt to new situations quickly.
