Financial Data Analyst
Contract: Permanent, full-time (part-time considered)
Location: Based in our Dalston office with flexibility to WFH
Reporting to: Head of Finance
Salary: £45,000 per annum

About the role
We are looking for a driven and capable finance/data professional with strong analysis and reporting skills. The role will suit someone who has worked in a finance team, has excellent Excel skills, and enjoys improving financial processes. Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, process, and analyse sets of financial data from multiple sources to support the identification of trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Projects: Provide input to ad hoc projects within Finance and the wider business as required. Business is mid-way through a 3-year technology transformation project.
Process Improvement: Identify and execute opportunities to enhance the value delivered by the finance team by driving process improvement/simplification/excellence/automation.
Business Partnering: Support the Head of Finance to collaborate with teams to understand analytical needs and deliver insights that drive business strategies. Work closely with stakeholders on reporting.
Data Integrity: Ensure data accuracy and consistency, performing regular audits to maintain the quality and reliability of financial data.
Skills and Experience
- Must have strong experience in financial operations and reporting, may be a qualified accountant.
- Strong data manipulation skills (Excel primarily, SQL an advantage).
- Experience in designing and presenting financial and non-financial information (Excel, PowerPoint etc).
- Experience in improving, implementing and documenting (write, map, develop) systems and processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, across finance and non-finance teams.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently.
- Motivation to play a key role in a small but growing social business moving towards a data-first approach.
