Director, AI Data, Energy and Chemicals
- Developing and leading the strategy for AI and data solutions within the Energy & Chemicals sector. This includes identifying market opportunities across the value chain (upstream, midstream, downstream), developing new service offerings, and building strong relationships with clients.
- Leading and mentoring a team of data scientists, engineers, and consultants. You will be responsible for their professional development and performance management.
- Managing complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget by managing client expectations, mitigating risks, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business needs, providing thought leadership, and identifying new opportunities.
- Staying abreast of the latest trends and technologies in AI and data science. This includes attending industry events, conducting research, and participating in professional development activities.
- Contributing to the development of Deloitte's thought leadership in AI and data for the Energy and Chemicals sector. This includes publishing articles, presenting at conferences, and participating in industry events.
- A strong academic background in a relevant field (e.g., chemical engineering, petroleum engineering, computer science, data science or equivalent).
- Considerable experience in the energy and/or chemicals or equivalent industry, with a proven track record of delivering successful AI and data-driven projects.
- Deep understanding of the energy and chemicals sector, including its key challenges and opportunities across the value chain.
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring teams of data scientists, engineers, and consultants, or equivalent.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in developing and implementing AI and data strategies.
- Experience with various data technologies and platforms (e.g., cloud computing, big data analytics, machine learning).
- A strong understanding of data privacy and security regulations.
- A passion for innovation and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
