An ambitious and inclusive secondary school in Southwark is seeking to appoint a talented Teacher of Science from September 2026.
The school combines strong Progress 8 performance and positive GCSE outcomes with a genuine commitment to scholarship, equity and student character development. Academic achievement is built upon a calm, purposeful culture where expectations are high and relationships are strong.

The Role
The successful candidate will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 within their specialism. Applications are welcomed from Biology, Chemistry and Physics specialists. A Level teaching experience is advantageous but not essential.
We are looking for a teacher who will:
Deliver engaging, challenging and well-sequenced lessons
Foster curiosity, analytical thinking and scientific literacy
Use assessment intelligently to drive strong student progress
Contribute positively to a collaborative and forward-thinking department
This role would suit both experienced practitioners and Early Career Teachers. Support is carefully structured, with a comprehensive induction and mentoring programme for ECTs and personalised development pathways for more experienced colleagues.

The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Demonstrate secure subject knowledge within their Science specialism
Have high expectations for achievement and behaviour
Build positive, consistent relationships with students
Be reflective and committed to ongoing professional growth
Have the right to work in the UK
