Head of Corporate Communications
Head of Corporate Communications
Speed
Come and join our team. Are you ready to take ownership of a growing corporate communications offer and shape its future? We're not just an agency with people; we're a people agency and it shows in everything we do.
As one of the Top 15 fastest growing agencies and a Top 25 B2B PR agency in the industry, Speed offers an exceptional environment to develop your career and make your mark.
We’re seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Head of Corporate Communications to join our Business & Corporate division. This is a role for someone who thrives on building trusted client relationships, driving new business and developing a specialist discipline within a high-performing agency. You are likely to be an Account Director or an Associate Director looking to make that next step on your career.
Initially, this position will be split 60% client leadership and activation, 40% new business development , with a clear pathway to evolve into a more new-business-focused role over time. Based in London, you’ll play a central role in strengthening corporate communications capability across Speed and the wider MISSION Group, forming connections, unlocking cross-agency opportunities and deepening relationships with existing clients who can benefit from our corporate comms and reputation management expertise.
This role is London-based, with travel to our Bristol HQ one day per week (expensed).
What you’ll be doing
Our Head of Corporate Communications will report directly to the Divisional Director of the Business & Corporate division, leading from the front with clients while driving growth across the agency and wider group.
This is a hands-on senior role. You’ll own senior client relationships, shape strategic communications programmes and help lead account teams to deliver exceptional work. Alongside this, you’ll be instrumental in identifying and converting new opportunities, writing proposals, leading pitches and confidently presenting to prospective clients.
You’ll collaborate closely with the Divisional Director to build pipeline, strengthen credentials and position corporate communications as a key growth area. With access to the wider MISSION network, you’ll actively seek opportunities to support existing group clients with corporate communications and reputation management expertise.
You’ll also play a vital role in developing the team, line managing and mentoring colleagues, contributing to divisional planning and helping shape a culture where people do their best work.
We want Speed to be where you look back and remember having the most fun, facing the greatest challenges, finding inspiration and inspiring others. A place where you elevated your creative game, fulfilled your ambitions, pushed your boundaries, and genuinely enjoyed coming to work. If you’re energised by corporate storytelling, reputation strategy and the thrill of winning new business, you’ll thrive among our brilliant team of Speedsters.
Skills we're looking for:
Significant experience in corporate communications, B2B PR or reputation management within an agency environment
A proven track record of leading complex corporate accounts and building senior client relationships
Strong commercial instinct and demonstrable new business success, from pipeline development to pitch delivery
Confidence presenting at senior level, both independently and as part of a wider team
Strategic thinker who is equally comfortable staying close to the detail
Experience managing and developing junior team members
Strong networker, comfortable building relationships across offices and agencies
Pace and resilience, with the ability to prioritise in a fast-moving environment
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Professionalism, integrity and meticulous attention to detail
Happy to be based in London and travel to our Bristol HQ one day a week
