Delegate Acquisition Manager - Technical Conferences

The Opportunity
We are hiring a Delegate Acquisition Manager to build, scale, and convert ISMG’s global community around our technical conference portfolio ( Hardwear.io & Nullcon), driving paid event attendance and training registrations.
This role goes beyond outreach — you will act as an Audience Intelligence Partner responsible for technical audience growth, practitioner engagement, and conversion strategy. Your primary objective is to grow qualified paid attendance, increase repeat participation, and expand penetration across emerging hardware and embedded security verticals.
This role directly impacts conference and training revenue and is accountable for measurable registration performance.
What You'll Be Doing
Audience Intelligence & Strategy
Analyzing historical attendee and conversion data to identify growth opportunities
Developing persona models for firmware engineers, embedded pen testers, product security leaders, and researchers
Conducting vertical segmentation analysis (automotive, IoT, AI hardware, medical devices, etc.)
Tracking registration velocity vs prior year and adjusting strategy accordingly
Expanding and enriching practitioner and researcher databases
Partnering with marketing and production teams to refine targeting strategy
Delegate Pipeline & Paid Registration Growth
Building segmented outreach lists by role, technical focus, and industry
Executing structured outbound campaigns across email, LinkedIn, and direct engagement
Developing early-bird targeting strategies and retargeting pools
Re-engaging prior attendees and training alumni
Supporting multi-seat corporate registrations (2–5 attendees per company)
Optimizing messaging based on persona behavior and conversion data
Tracking pipeline and conversion metrics weekly
Community Growth
Building and growing a high-signal hardware and embedded security audience
Engaging firmware engineers, embedded pen testers, product security teams, and researchers
Developing structured re-engagement programs for past attendees and speakers
Supporting webinars, virtual touchpoints, and technical community updates
Activating interest groups around CTF and HardPwn (technical challenges and contests)
Strengthening speaker-to-attendee referral pathways
CTF & HardPwn Activation
Recruiting Hardware CTF participants
Engaging embedded pen testers and researchers for HardPwn
Building awareness in reverse engineering and IoT security communities
Positioning hands-on technical formats as core event differentiators
What You Bring to the Table
3–5+ years’ experience in delegate acquisition, community growth, or technical event marketing
Experience driving registrations for paid technical conferences or training programs
Experience engaging cybersecurity, hardware, embedded systems, developer, or engineering ecosystems
Strong written communication skills (US English)
Experience running outbound email and LinkedIn campaigns
Analytical mindset with comfort tracking conversion and performance data
Preferred
Background in cybersecurity, hardware, embedded systems, IoT, or AI hardware ecosystems
Experience working with researcher communities or CTF-style environments
Familiarity with product security, PSIRT, firmware engineering, or embedded development audiences
Experience using CRM and marketing automation platforms
