Supervisor - Specialist Cleaning
Location: London
Pay Rate: £17.00 per hour
Shift Pattern: Flexible, 40 hours per week

Job Purpose:
To lead and coordinate a team of specialist cleaning operatives, delivering high-quality cleaning services including window cleaning, pressure washing, and high-level access work. The Team Leader ensures all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with client requirements and company standards.
Flexible shifts, work day and night.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support a team of specialist cleaning operatives across a range of tasks.
- Plan and oversee daily cleaning operations including:
- Internal and external window cleaning (traditional and water-fed pole systems)
- Pressure washing of building exteriors, pavements, and hard surfaces
- High-level cleaning using MEWPs, scaffold towers, or rope access (where qualified)
- Deep cleaning, floor care, and post-construction cleaning
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health & safety policies, including risk assessments and method statements.
- Train and coach team members on correct cleaning methods, safe equipment use, and PPE.
- Carry out quality checks and site audits to ensure standards are met.
- Liaise with site management and clients to organise access and resolve any issues or concerns.
- Maintain and report on stock levels, tools, and equipment maintenance.
- Complete and manage paperwork such as timesheets, work logs, and incident reports.
- Support mobilisation of new sites and assist with quoting or estimating work if required.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Demonstrable experience in specialist cleaning, particularly in:
- Window cleaning
- Pressure washing
- High-level and access-based cleaning
- Supervisory experience in a facilities or cleaning environment.
- Strong understanding of health & safety, including COSHH, working at height, and manual handling.
- Ability to lead by example and motivate a team to meet targets and maintain high standards.
- Confident operating and instructing on equipment such as MEWPs, pressure washers, water-fed poles, and floor machines.
- Flexible with working hours and locations - may include early starts, weekends, or overnight works.
Desirable Qualifications (Not Essential):
- IPAF / PASMA / CSCS / Confined Space certification
- BICSc or similar industry accreditation
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential if role is mobile)
