Rate: £28 – £34 per hour
About the role:
The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 8a Pharmacist specializing in Ophthalmology to join our team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within our Pharmacy – Specialist Ambulatory Services department.
Key Responsibilities:
You will provide expert pharmaceutical care in the field of ophthalmology. You will manage and oversee the use of biologic medicines and unlicensed medicines. You will support and optimize surgical pathways within the ophthalmology department. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
Requirements
- Experience/Knowledge:
- Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Master’s degree in pharmacy (MPharm).
- Previous NHS hospital experience is essential.
- Extensive senior experience in ophthalmology.
- Proven expertise in dealing with biologic medicines and unlicensed medicines.
- Strong understanding of surgical pathways in ophthalmology.
- Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Time management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong clinical pharmacy knowledge.
