Venue Sourcing Manager - Events
As the Venue Sourcing Manager, you key responsibilites will include:
- Research and identify potential venues based on client or event needs.
- Maintain a database of preferred venues, including pricing, capacity, amenities, and availability.
- To be the point of contact with clients when discussing venue requirements.
- Stay updated on venue trends, new openings, and industry best practices.
- Regularly attend FAM trips to meet new suppliers and venues.
- Present venue options with detailed comparisons, including cost analysis and logistical considerations both internally and to clients.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with venue representatives.
- Conduct site inspections to assess venue suitability, layout, and potential challenges.
- Ensure venue costs remain within the allocated budget.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate added benefits (Venue Commissions)
- Develop long-term partnerships with preferred venues to secure favourable deals.
- Track venue performance, cost savings, and contract negotiations.
- Provide post-event evaluations on venue performance and service quality.
- Act as the main point of contact for your client, and ensure all milestones are clearly communicated and met. Be consultative in your approach.
- Communicate effectively with all hotel & vendor partners. You'll handle hotel rooms, designing and communicating room sets, AV/Production needs, offsite events, ground transportation, and signage (and more!).
