Area Manager - Fast-Growth STEM Education Company
Location: London or Surrey
Salary: Up to £35,000 + Bonus
Full-Time
We’re working with a pioneering STEM education company that is reshaping how children experience science, technology, engineering, and maths. With a strong reputation for delivering engaging, hands-on robotics and coding experiences, this organisation has built partnerships with schools and families across the UK and abroad — and is now expanding into dedicated, standalone locations.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team as they launch their first UK site , offering after-school clubs and weekend sessions that make STEM accessible, creative, and fun for young learners.
The Role
As Area Manager , you will be instrumental in launching and operating the first of several planned locations. You’ll oversee every aspect of setup and delivery — from recruiting and managing staff, to ensuring sessions run smoothly and meet the highest standards of care and educational value.
This is a hands-on, people-focused role suited to someone who thrives in a start-up environment and enjoys building something from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the setup and launch of a new STEM activity centre
Recruit, train, and manage session leaders and support staff
Oversee the day-to-day running of after-school clubs and weekend sessions
Maintain safeguarding standards and child protection policies
Build and maintain relationships with local schools, families, and communities
Contribute to strategic growth planning as the organisation expands across the UK and internationally
What We’re Looking For
Experience working with children in an education, enrichment, or activity-based setting
A background in launching and/or managing educational venues, clubs, or programmes
Strong understanding of safeguarding, child safety, and compliance
Excellent leadership and team management skills
A proactive mindset, comfortable with the fast pace of a growing organisation
A genuine interest in STEM education and youth development
Why Join?
This is more than just a management role — it’s an opportunity to help shape a new model for STEM learning. Backed by a forward-thinking team with a global outlook, you’ll play a key role in expanding a brand that’s already working with schools and partners internationally.
With ambitious plans for growth and a supportive, mission-led culture, this role offers scope for real progression as more sites are launched.
