A well-established primary school in Lewisham is looking for a passionate and experienced Year 6 Teacher to join their team from September 2025. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team, helping Year 6 students excel academically and transition smoothly to secondary school.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and creative lessons that align with the National Curriculum, ensuring Year 6 students achieve their academic goals and develop a love for learning.
- Provide targeted SATs preparation, ensuring students feel confident and prepared for their assessments.
- Create an inclusive, safe, and stimulating learning environment that fosters personal and academic growth.
- Regularly assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of all learners.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff to create an effective and cohesive learning experience.
- Communicate with parents and carers, providing feedback and offering guidance on how they can support their child’s learning.

Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Year 6 or within Key Stage 2.
- A strong understanding of SATs preparation and the ability to support students in their final year of primary school.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- A commitment to inclusive education and helping students reach their full potential.
