Senior Assistant General Manager

We’re on the lookout for a Senior Assistant General Manager to join our leadership team at The Italian Greyhound , Marylebone’s contemporary Italian bar and all day dining room (yes, we look after our guests from breakfast through to dinner). This is a role for someone with charisma, confidence, and a true passion for hospitality —a leader who thrives on creating memorable experiences for guests while inspiring their team to deliver at the highest level.

As a key right-hand to the General Manager , you’ll take ownership in driving the business forward—whether that’s through flawless daily operations, delivering weddings and large events, welcoming corporate clients, or ensuring tourists and locals alike leave as loyal regulars. In an owner-led business , you’ll have the platform and autonomy to really make your mark.

What you’ll be doing as our Senior Assistant General Manager

• Leading from the front—ensuring our floor and bar teams deliver experiences that are personal, polished, and full of energy.
• Acting as GM in their absence , confidently representing the venue, the team, and the brand.Building and delivering training programs that inspire, develop, and elevate your team to new heights.
• Driving operational excellence with a strong commercial eye , balancing sales growth with outstanding service.
• Overseeing events, from corporate gatherings to weddings, ensuring every occasion runs seamlessly and memorably.
• Fostering a culture of warm, confident hospitality where every guest feels recognised, valued, and eager to return.

• A proven leader with experience in high-volume, multi-floored, guest-focused environments .
• Charismatic, guest-centric, and a natural at making both clients and teams feel at ease.Skilled at balancing commercial performance with a dedication to exceptional service standards .

• Organised, financially confident, and quick-thinking under pressure.
