Assistant General Manager
My client is looking for an Assistant General Manager to join a busy neighbourhood restaurant in Battersea.
The restaurant has around 80 covers and a small FOH team of under 10. It is a very hands-on operation, open 7 days a week, with a strong focus on good food, wine and friendly service.
This role is for someone who enjoys being on the floor, working closely with the team and getting to know regular guests.
You will be supporting the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the restaurant, including:
- Running shifts and leading the FOH team
- Training and developing the team
- Supporting with rotas and labour
- Stock and general restaurant admin
- Making sure service runs smoothly and standards are maintained
- Creating a welcoming atmosphere for both guests and the team
Ideally this Assistant General Manager will have previous management experience within a good quality restaurant or wine-led environment. As an Assistant General Manager, you should be confident running service, comfortable working with a small team and happy to be very hands-on.
An interest in wine would definitely be a plus.
