We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Vice President, Infrastructure Finance.

HSBC’s Infrastructure Finance team is part of the Global Corporate and Institutional Banking business and provides a full suite of services to corporates, financial sponsors, financial institutions, and governments in several sectors, including Infrastructure, Power & Utilities, Renewables, Energy Transition, Transportation, Logistics, Support Services, and Digital/Telecommunication infrastructure. The team provides a single point for clients to access bank financing and advice on financing, capital structuring and debt capital markets.

You’ll be a key member of the team, responsible for the origination and execution of financing transactions for HSBC’s infrastructure client base.

As an HSBC employee in the UK, you’ll have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.

In this role you’ll:

  • Use your deep understanding of infrastructure sectors and financing products to provide coverage and execution services to HSBC’s infrastructure clients
  • Originate, develop and lead execution of strategic deals, demonstrating quality thought leadership
  • Assist in the preparation and negotiation of complex financial and project-related documents
  • Oversee the creation of marketing materials such as pitch books, proposals, teaser documents, and information memoranda, as well as internal documents such as credit applications
  • Conduct thorough industry and company-specific research
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other internal stakeholders and business units within the bank
  • Be a valued member of the team and provide leadership and mentorship to junior colleagues

To be successful in this role you’ll meet the following essential requirements:

  • Strong deal structuring, negotiation and execution experience in European Infrastructure/Project Finance transactions
  • Experience in executing debt advisory mandates
  • Significant experience in some or all of the power, utilities, renewable energy, energy transition, digital/telecommunication energy and/or transport infrastructure sub-sectors
  • In-depth understanding of financial markets, including credit analysis, rating methodologies, and credit metrics
  • Proven track record in managing execution of domestic and cross-border infrastructure financing transactions.
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with strong commercial awareness across various debt products, including loans, bonds, and derivatives transactions
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Possess excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, coupled with a professional confidence that engender the view of a ‘Trusted Partner’ across a varied internal and external audience

Opening up a world of opportunity.
