Account Manager - Litigation
The opportunity
We are looking for a customer-focused Account Manager to join us in our Commercial team, focusing on opportunities and customers within the areas of dispute resolution and litigation. You will be responsible for helping us achieve our mission in becoming the most trusted payment partner by developing strong client relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
Reporting into our Commercial Director - Litigation, you'll be responsible for the growth of litigation project related revenue for Shieldpay by outsourcing new opportunities and clear account management for our customers. You will optimise long-term value creation by nurturing relationships with clients to maximise the number of retained partnerships and drive new revenue generating initiatives from these relationships.
The successful candidate has experience working in and understands the UK litigation industry, and strives to learn about the challenges and obstacles prospective and current clients face. You will develop a deep understanding of Shieldpay’s solutions, consultatively selling our products based on the needs and requirements of our customers. This role is suitable for individuals with experience in the legal space who are currently working in or looking for a unique opportunity of account management within the fintech and disputes industries.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage a portfolio of high value clients with differing needs and relationships to drive revenue growth via litigation related projects for Shieldpay.
- Act consultatively to ensure that firms have the appropriate payment account to suit their client money transaction needs; cross selling our other products where appropriate.
- Work with the Commercial Director and CRO to develop strategic account roadmaps and growth plans by identifying new trends within the sector.
- Proactively seek customer feedback through close alignment to feedback to our product team.
- Collaborate effectively with Sales, Marketing and Customer Operations teams to ensure smooth handover processes between each stage of the customer journey.
- Prepare relevant client collateral and participate in fee negotiations with clients.
- Outsource new business and identify new practice area industries where there may be a demand for our solutions.
- Attend meetings, conferences and events to connect with key players in the industry and remain a visible thought leader.
- Own and track your own pipeline, clearly presenting this to the Commercial Director and CRO at regular intervals.
- Drive YoY growth by upselling and/or cross-selling across all customer accounts.
- Meet and exceed relevant KPI targets related to revenue and account growth.
- Monitor client health metrics and use data-driven insights to identify any risks to revenue generation opportunities
- Remain aware of industry and regulatory updates and trends to equip clients for success

- Commercially driven: You’re a savvy negotiator who excels in at commercial pricing negotiations and value propositions.
- Organised and self-motivated: You are a well-organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, able to shift priorities and self-motivate to achieve your goals.
