We are delighted to announce a unique opportunity to join a growing team with exciting plans to expand the services we provide. This is a new post for an Audiology Assistant.

This post is for a year in the first instance. This may be extended.

Main duties of the job

You will:

• Support the Audiology service and its users
• Provide hearing aid users with consumables, repair hearing aids and advise patients on using their aids
• Perform administrative tasks
• Oversee stock levels
• Participate in service development

Experience

Essential criteria

• Experience in a clinical, client-centred, or public-facing role, including experience working with the public

Desirable criteria

• Work within the NHS
• Experience with hearing impaired individuals

Qualifications

Essential criteria

• Five or more GCSEs, including English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent qualifications)
• T proficiency, with basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office

Desirable criteria

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent or Science-related A-Levels
• Additional qualifications from recognized audiology assistant training courses

General

Essential criteria

• Demonstrated interest in audiology and direct patient care
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good literacy and numeracy
• Able to communicate effectively
