Admissions & Short Course Officer
Type of contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours of work: 35 hours per week
Salary: Grade 3, £30,068 - £33,842 + Benefits
The Role
We are looking for an organised, proactive and student-focused Admissions & Short Courses Officer to join our busy team and support the delivery of an outstanding applicant and student experience.
Working closely with the Admissions and Student Services Manager, you will play a key role in supporting admissions administration and student services across Higher Education and Short Courses. You will help ensure the smooth running of applications, auditions, interviews, enrolment and student support processes, while acting as a welcoming and professional first point of contact for applicants, students and visitors.
This is a varied and fast-paced role requiring excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Managing the Short Courses inbox and responding to applicant enquiries
Supporting applicants with advice and guidance on LAMDA courses
Processing applications and offers using UCAS and LAMDA’s student records system
Coordinating auditions and interviews and processing outcomes
Administering Short Course bookings and maintaining accurate applicant records
Liaising with internal departments and external accommodation providers
Preparing and distributing applicant, offer and housing information packs
Supporting enrolment and registration processes
Assisting with welcoming and onboarding Short Course participants
Working closely with finance colleagues regarding payments and refunds
Providing administrative support and information to students and staff across the organisation
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Highly organised with excellent administrative skills
A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
Detail-oriented and accurate in handling data and records
Experienced in delivering excellent customer service
Comfortable working collaboratively across teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office and database systems
*Experience working within higher education, admissions or student services would be advantageous.
