About the Role
Lead change that matters. As National Nightstop and Supported Lodgings Manager , you’ll drive the delivery and growth of vital services that provide safe, dignified accommodation to young people at risk of homelessness. You’ll take ownership of national service quality, safeguarding and performance—ensuring every young person receives the right support to move forward with confidence.
You’ll lead and motivate a high-performing team, manage complex contracts and budgets, and use data-driven insight to achieve impact and secure future funding. Working collaboratively with partners, commissioners and communities, you’ll identify gaps, scale services and continuously improve outcomes across regions.

Please note that this job opportunity is offered as a full-time (37.5 hour per week ), permanent role.
KEY DELIVERABLES
Delivering Effective Services
• To ensure all young receive the right support they need to enable them to move forward with their lives
• To lead the process of continuous improvement for your services and to ensure the services passes both Depaul and Nightstop UK service standards
• To ensure that all aspects of service delivery to young people and vulnerable adults offer high standards that make them feel welcome, safe, supported and involved. This includes ensuring organisational policies and procedures are followed to a high standard and Ofsted requirements are fully met.
• Ensure effective service delivery against targets, KPI’s and contractual requirements and achievement of key deliverables and outcomes for our clients.
• To act as a Safeguarding lead, ensuring that all clients have thorough and up to date risk assessments and support plans in place, and that links to external support agencies are made as required
• To ensure effective housing management practices are implemented across all relevant services, ensuring the provision of safe and compliant accommodation services and Ofsted compliance
• To develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for young people
• To effectively set and manage project budgets, to enable the delivery of services working closely with the finance department
• Work with colleagues across the Prevention services to ensure that adequate cover is provided for all services, including managing and part-taking in the temporary redeployment of staff resource
Achieving impact
• To record, write and evaluate appropriate reports to a high standard that evidence the quality and impact of service delivery, and comply with contractual or agreed quality standards
• Working with fundraising colleagues, successfully secure funding for the services
• Effectively manage secured funding contracts, ensure targets are met, and be the main point of contact for key funding relationships and commissioners.
• Demonstrate a commitment to client involvement by advocating client involvement opportunities.
Leading teams
• To engage, manage and motivate staff and volunteers to achieve the best outcomes for guests and clients that includes setting performance standards and targets using appropriate procedures to ensure these are met
• Providing support, regular supervision and appraisals, and ensuring individual and operational training needs are identified and met
• Oversee the recruitment, induction, training and retention of volunteers for the services
• Provide strong leadership to the teams that encourage personal and professional development, and encourage good practice
Development of the services
• To promote innovation in service delivery and design, using learning from the quality assessments and other sources to improve the quality of the service
• Work on a strategic level with funders developing an understanding of their priorities and how current or potential new Depaul UK services can support their needs
• From time to time, participate in Depaul UK work to consolidate and develop new service delivery models
On-Call and Out of Hours
• To facilitate, manage and participate in an on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support to volunteer hosts, supported lodgings providers and clients
General Responsibilities
• To contribute to, and be supportive of client involvement in our services and in all levels of decision making throughout the organisation
• To contribute to the effective implementation of Depaul UK’s Equality and Diversity Policy

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR FROM YOU – PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Significant experience of delivering high quality services to young people or adults
• Knowledge/understanding of the issues homeless young people face, their support needs and how these might be met
• Experience of working with KPI’s and targets, as well as contract compliance
• Understanding of acting upon safeguarding concerns, risk management and confidentiality
• Understanding in delivering effective services to young people facing homelessness
• A high standard of specialist expertise/knowledge in volunteer management.
• Sound decision making process on a wide range of complex situations where there is a requirement to consider a range of options/courses of action for young people
• Experience of effective recruitment, training and ongoing support of staff and volunteers
• Experience of fundraising including selling a service or programme to a range of audiences
• Experience of delivering complex projects, meeting quality standards, budgets and targets
• Experience of strong partnership working with internal and external stakeholders
• Understanding of working with local communities
