The Role
The school is seeking a skilled and motivated Performing Arts Technician to support the technical delivery of productions and performing arts lessons.
The successful candidate will assist teachers and students by preparing equipment, supporting rehearsals and operating technical systems during performances.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in theatre production, lighting or sound who enjoys working in a creative educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing lighting and sound equipment for performances and rehearsals
Operating technical equipment during productions and events
Maintaining theatre equipment and stage resources
Supporting teachers during performing arts lessons
Assisting with school productions and performances
Ensuring safe use and storage of technical equipment
Managing organisation of department resources
Person Specification
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Knowledge of theatre lighting, sound systems or stage production
Strong organisational and technical skills
Ability to support students in practical performance settings
Good teamwork and communication abilities
Understanding of health and safety procedures
Experience in theatre, stage management or technical production would be advantageous.
