ICT Analyst Specialist / Technical Engineer
Job overview
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual to help support both Clinical and Operational Video Conference meetings using Polycom enabled small meeting rooms and large Clinical MDT\MDM rooms systems, as well as supporting users with Teams events. There are a number of dedicated meeting rooms across the Trust owned estate across multiple sites and they are a key component of the day to day discussion of patient treatment pathways and operational running of the Trust business. These clinical and organisational meetings ensure that patients receive the best clinical outcomes and ensure the hospital sites run collaboratively and efficiently. This role is mainly based at the Denmark Hill campus and requires a physical presence on site.
You will work within a small dedicated team who and will act without delay, in providing advice, support, and if required, a physical presence in meetings to ensure meetings operate smoothly.
Main duties of the job
- Responsible for the maintenance of Trust’s Video Conference systems and Infrastructure and will directly connect\support VC meetings for clinical and operational decision making to improve patient pathways and efficiency
- Provide immediate support and advice to users in meeting rooms during patient treatment discussions and meetings
- Run Microsoft Teams Live\Webinar events for Educational Teaching, Organisational Communication and Live Surgical Transmission. This will include scheduling Microsoft Teams calls for patient education events and providing training on how to use the platform and meeting rooms
- Give complex technical advice and assistance to user departments and departmental system managers
- Communicate highly complex technical subjects to Technical Analyst in the Trust
- Supervise skilled Technical Analysts, providing quality network systems and dealing with complex technical problems
- Deal with complex technical issues that affect function of the data infrastructure
- Manage the activities of the local service support team.
- Deal with escalations for Trust users on local support issues
- Rectify meeting room hardware and PC issues and provide a work around in the event of a longer repair
- Liaising with external support providers in the reporting of equipment failures and arranging repairs
- To assist in the training of end users of complex ICT systems and production of training media
