Probation Officer- Remote

Red Snapper Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of the National Probation Service for a qualified Probation Officer to support Sentence Management remotely for the Ealing PDU.

This part-time position is ideal for experienced POs seeking flexible, remote working arrangements while contributing to high-quality case management and public protection.


Location: Remote (Ealing PDU)
Contract Length: 3 months, with possibility of extension
Hours: 22 hours per week (part-time)
Pay Rate: £21.75 per hour (PAYE) or £28.64 per hour (via Umbrella)

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a reduced caseload of individuals subject to probation supervision

Complete sentence plans, risk assessments, and reviews using OASys and NDelius

Monitor compliance, enforce licence or court order conditions, and initiate breach proceedings where necessary

Liaise remotely with service users, partner agencies, and internal colleagues to support rehabilitation and risk management

Contribute to safeguarding and public protection processes, including MAPPA

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports

Requirements:

Qualified Probation Officer (Diploma in Probation Studies, PQF, or equivalent)

Proven experience in Sentence Management

Strong understanding of probation practice, risk assessment, and offender management

Ability to work independently and remotely, using probation case management systems

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Enhanced DBS check (can be processed as part of onboarding)
