KS1 Teacher | Remarkable school in Westminster | April 2024|
Our client school is looking for a KS1 teacher based in the heart of Westminster! This is an opportunity to work within an amazing primary school in West London. The school is looking to appoint a class teacher who will enjoy teaching an academic yet creative, topic-based curriculum in a school with exceptional pastoral care. The successful KS1 Teacher will have the opportunity to work in an environment that values education and learning, utilizing their skills and experience to make a meaningful difference to the lives of students. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum, a passion for teaching, and the ability to create an inclusive and safe classroom environment.

KS1 Teacher responsibilities:
· Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons to KS1 students, using creativity and innovation to keep the students engaged.
· Assess and evaluate student progress, providing formal and informal feedback to students and parents.
· Collaborate with colleagues to plan, prepare and participate in school events, including extracurricular activities.
· Establish and maintain open and positive communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
· Utilise a student-centered approach to teaching, encouraging independent thinking, and problem-solving.
· Incorporate inclusive practices into teaching approaches, recognising the diverse needs of students.
· Ensure accurate record-keeping, including attendance records and student data, in line with the school's policies.
KS1 Teacher requirements:
· QTS, PGCE and strong academic record
· Experience teaching key stage 1 students.
· Knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Highly organised and able to manage competing demands effectively.
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
· Passionate about teaching and creating a positive learning environment.
Salary
The salary for this KS1 position will be paid to scale on a permanent contract to scale MPS/UPS.
