Personal Tax Assistant Manager
This independent firm has a great reputation for the quality of its tax client base, is large enough to have a sensible structure and talented mentors who can help you progress your skills, but small enough that everyone knows each other and everyone counts.
This busy personal tax team is looking for an experienced senior/superviser to join as Assistant Manager. You will have your own portfolio and will be the clients' first port of call - handling all compliance and getting involved in research and advisory work in conjunction with the directors and partners.
Clients include HNW and UHNW, large family groups, non-resident and non-domiciled individuals, sole traders and trusts and estates. The broad scope means that you will have exposure to a diverse range of technical issues; the partners and directors provide training in areas you aren't familiar with, along with other members of the team who are all friendly and supportive.
You could be looking to move away from a large firm to somewhere which is a bit more personal and a bit less bureaucratic, or with a smaller firm and looking to gain exposure to more interesting clients. Either way, if you have a solid grounding in personal tax, and enjoy providing a first class service to your clients, this firm would love to talk to you. Experience and approach is much more important than exams. If you have the CTA, great. If not and you want to do it, you'll get full support and financial backing. If you just want to focus on your work without the distraction of studying for exams, that's fine too.
