We are working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Hillingdon that is seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis , starting January 2026 . Year 2 Teacher Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons for Year 2 students.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and setting achievable learning targets.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum resources and share best practices.
- Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about student progress and wellbeing.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school initiatives.
Year 2 Teacher Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Year 2 or Key Stage 1 in a primary school setting.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment methods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to differentiate lessons to meet individual learning needs.
- Commitment to professional development and collaborative teaching.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to working in a team environment.
