Citizenship Teacher
We are seeking an inspiring and committed Citizenship Teacher to join a thriving secondary school from September 2026 on a full-time basis for the full academic year.
About the role
The successful candidate will be passionate about developing students' understanding of democracy, politics, law, human rights and social responsibility, helping young people become informed and active citizens. They will deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that encourage critical thinking, discussion and debate across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Citizenship Teacher you will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Citizenship across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Be able to teach Geography or History as a second subject (desirable)
- Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Humanities education
- Have high expectations of student achievement and behaviour
- Be committed to delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that meet the needs of all learners
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Suitable teaching experience
- Possess strong communication and organisational skills
- Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Humanities education
- Be able to teach Geography or History as a second subject (desirable)
