The Strategic Partnership & Development Lead is a key position tasked with shaping the future trajectory of Global University Systems (GUS). Reporting to and working closely with the Chief of Staff to the CEO, this role collaborates across various GUS entities to identify opportunities, develop strategic initiatives, and drive impactful outcomes.
The ideal candidate will be both a strategic thinker and an execution-driven professional, adept at navigating complex and ambiguous scenarios. With a sharp analytical mind and an eye for detail, they will transform emerging opportunities into clear, actionable strategies that align with GUS's vision and deliver measurable benefits to the organization and its stakeholders.
Key Activities & Responsibilities
Strategic Development: Lead the creation of high-quality briefs, presentations, and other deliverables for numerous business development opportunities within GUS. This includes partnerships with universities and organizations in various ecosystems. Expertise in creating impactful PowerPoint presentations is essential.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with multiple GUS entities, balancing sensitivity to their needs while driving progress. Proactively engage stakeholders with sound judgment and initiative.
External Partnerships: Facilitate the development of partnerships with external universities and organizations. Maintain forward momentum by asking insightful questions and fostering productive communication with partners.
Diplomatic Relations: Act as a diplomat for GUS, in strategic communications, fostering relationships with key external stakeholders and building a network of influential contacts to advance organizational objectives.
Executive Collaboration: Work closely with the Chief of Staff to the CEO and other members of the Executive team, demonstrating professionalism, confidence, and humility in all interactions.
Continuous Improvement: Actively seek and incorporate feedback from stakeholders in a structured manner to refine outputs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Adaptability & Humility: Adapt working styles to maximize productivity across GUS entities and external partners. Maintain a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to take on tasks of any scope.
Multiple Workstreams: Oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously, identifying and leveraging synergies between them to enhance efficiency and output quality.
Deadline Management: Develop realistic timelines, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and provide early warnings of potential delays. Propose actionable solutions to mitigate risks and ensure timely delivery of workstreams.

What we are looking for:
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law or a related field is required.
Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working in large, dynamic organizations, demonstrating the ability to navigate complex structures and processes.
Career Ambition: Strong drive and potential for growth, with a demonstrated desire to advance and develop professionally within a forward-thinking organisation.
