Project Manager – Social Care (Local Government Council)
📅 5-month contract
💷 £32.76 per hour (Inside IR35)
📍 Hybrid – 3 days a week in the office (South East London area)
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager with experience in HR and change management to support the delivery of Social Care reforms within a local government council. This role is central to supporting the Families First Programme , working closely on workforce planning, restructuring, and aligning project outcomes with Corporate HR processes.
You will report to the Transformation Lead within the Families First Programme Team and play a key role in ensuring effective delivery through collaboration, stakeholder management, and change support.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are achieved.
- Develop project plans, risk assessments, and communication strategies.
- Facilitate project meetings, track progress, and report to senior leadership.
HR Collaboration
- Partner with Corporate HR on workforce planning, staff engagement, and change management activity.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and embed best practice across the programme.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Translate complex project requirements into clear and actionable delivery plans.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
- Lead post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience delivering projects within a local government or public sector environment .
- Strong background in HR, workforce planning, or change management .
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational ability and a proactive approach to problem solving.
