Graduate English Unqualified Teacher
Graduate English Unqualified Teacher
Full-time | Long-term | Immediate or September start
Salary: £28,000+
Do you have the kind of English degree that deserves to be heard, not hidden?
Can you bring literature to life and help students find their voice, sharpen their thinking, and write with purpose?
Are you ready to step into a classroom and own it from day one, not observe from the back?
This is a standout opportunity for a high-calibre English graduate to step directly into a full teaching role within a top-performing secondary school in North West London. Designed for those with both academic strength and presence, this role offers the chance to teach, lead, and develop rapidly in a school where standards are unapologetically high.
About the School
This is a school where focus is sharp, behaviour is exceptional, and outcomes are consistently strong. With GCSE English results outperforming national averages, the school has built a reputation for academic discipline and excellence.
The English department is central to this success—driven, well-structured, and committed to delivering a curriculum that develops analytical precision, creative expression, and deep literary understanding. Students are encouraged not just to pass exams, but to think critically and communicate powerfully.
Staff are supported by a leadership team that values clarity, consistency, and professional growth, with a strong track record of developing graduates into highly effective, confident teachers.
The Role
As a Graduate English Unqualified Teacher, you will:
- Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4
- Plan and deliver lessons that balance challenge, structure, and engagement
- Support students in developing writing skills, textual analysis, and exam technique
- Maintain high expectations around behaviour and academic output
- Work closely with experienced practitioners to refine your teaching
- Prepare for progression into a formal teacher training pathway
You will be expected to lead from the front—setting the tone, driving standards, and building your classroom presence quickly.
Who We’re Looking For
- A 2:1 or First-Class degree in English or a related subject
- Strong academic background, with excellent written and verbal communication
- The ability to explain ideas clearly and inspire engagement
- Confidence, resilience, and a natural authority
- A genuine ambition to become a teacher
What You’ll Gain
- Immediate experience as a fully responsible classroom teacher
- A direct route into teacher training and long-term progression
- Exposure to a high-performing English department
- A competitive salary of £28,000+
- The opportunity to develop in a school that will push your standards and accelerate your growth
This role is for graduates who don’t want to wait — who are ready to step up, take ownership, and make an impact through education.
Send your CV and cover letter to Ryan Holtby at KPI Education today and begin your journey towards becoming an outstanding English teacher.
