A week in the life of the KS1 Teacher

Afternoons (on working days): the KS1 Teacher plans adult-led continuous provision and runs small-group maths boosters as the KS1 Teacher. The KS1 Teacher will use formative assessment to personalise learning and will prepare for moderation cycles scheduled around January 2026. The KS1 Teacher will prepare resources before January 2026 and begin teaching in post from January 2026.
Professional development & integration for the KS1 Teacher
Although the role is Part-Time, the KS1 Teacher will be fully included in phase planning, coaching and CPD starting January 2026. The school has an experienced KS1 leadership team who will mentor the KS1 Teacher and support continued professional growth. The KS1 Teacher will be encouraged to lead a small area of practice, share resources and participate in staff development days from January 2026.
KS1 Teacher - candidate profile
We are seeking a KS1 Teacher with QTS, effective KS1 classroom practice and excellent behaviour strategies. The KS1 Teacher must be available for planning prior to January 2026, induction in January 2026, and to commence teaching from January 2026 as the Part-Time KS1 Teacher.
