Economics Position - Outstanding Ofsted School, Enfield
A leading Outstanding Ofsted-rated Secondary School in Enfield, North London, known for its strong academic results and thriving Sixth Form provision, seeks a specialist Teacher of Economics for a permanent, full-time role commencing January 2026.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and conceptually demanding lessons in Economics across GCSE and A-Level.
- Focus exclusively on the principles of Economics, securing outstanding examination results while promoting real-world application and critical analysis.
- Lead academic extension activities, such as investment clubs or economic societies, to enhance students' commercial awareness.
- Contribute actively to the wider life of the school, acting as a dedicated Form Tutor and supporting pastoral care.
Requirements
- A strong degree in Economics or a related quantitative field and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven success teaching the subject up to A-Level.
- Excellent knowledge of current economic issues and a desire to inspire the next generation of social scientists.
- Suitable for experienced teachers or ambitious Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
