Hours : 9.00am – 5.00/6.00pm

Salary : £50,000 – £55,000 gross per annum, depending on experience
Overview
A private household in Mayfair is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laundress to join their professional team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the care of luxury garments, designer items, and household linens, ensuring all laundry is maintained to the highest standard. This role requires a candidate with proven expertise, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to long-term employment within a UHNW household.
Key Responsibilities
- Expert care of designer clothing, couture pieces, delicate fabrics, and luxury garments.
- Complete laundry management, including bed linens, towels, and household items.
- Professional handwashing, stain removal, pressing, steaming, and ironing.
- Wardrobe organisation, seasonal rotation, and proper storage of garments and linens.
- Packing and unpacking for travel, ensuring clothing is prepared and presented impeccably.
- Collaborating with the wider Housekeeping team to maintain smooth household operations.
- Maintaining strict confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism at all times.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Laundress in a UHNW private household.
- Demonstrated expertise in caring for luxury garments, couture, and specialist fabrics.
- Highly skilled in stain removal and fabric-specific laundry techniques.
- Exceptional eye for detail and presentation.
- Discreet, trustworthy, and respectful of family privacy.
- Longevity and proven commitment to previous employers is essential.
- Professional, polished, and immaculately presented.
