What you will do:
- Provide vital assistance and expert advice to Resident Medical Officers (RMOs), Nursing Staff, and patient Consultants.
- Serve as a key part of the resuscitation team utilising advanced airway and critical care skills.
- Maintain updated certifications in Adult Advanced Life Support and European Paediatric Advanced Life Support.
- Accurately document patient notes and medical audit records.
- Engage in hospital governance activities, including clinical audits and performance reviews.
- Offer routine medical cover and perform ward rounds in the High Dependency Unit.
- Collaborate with Consultants regarding patient care and perform necessary follow-up.
- Conduct comprehensive handovers to ensure continuity of high-quality care.
- Order medications and investigations as needed, especially during emergency admissions.
Role Purpose:
You will provide resident high dependency, critical care, and emergency intensivist services in cooperation with existing hospital frameworks. Offering support to diverse medical teams, you will ensure efficient patient management, contributing to the hospital's goal of high-standard health services.
Requirements:
- General Medical Council Registration
- Advanced Life Support Provider Certification
- Paediatric Advanced Life Support Certification
- Postgraduate training in Anaesthesia or Intensive Care Medicine
- Proficiency in critical care delivery
- Strong communication skills across all disciplines
- Flexibility and an ability to manage hospital demands
- Proven teamwork abilities and skills in rational judgement
