Product Manager

Legatics
London

The Role

As a Product Manager at Legatics, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategy and development of our legal transaction management platform. Operating at the intersection of user needs, market opportunity, business goals and technical feasibility, you will lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, design, sales, and customer success to deliver meaningful, high-impact solutions for transactional lawyers. From analysing market and competitive trends to shaping the product roadmap, defining feature requirements, and delivering smooth execution and go-to-market enablement, you’ll ensure the Legatics platform remains innovative, customer-focused, and responsive to the challenges faced by our users.

What you’ll be doing

In close collaboration with the Chief Product Officer, and alongside the wider product management and engineering teams, this role will involve:

  • Collaborating with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to gather and prioritise product requirements.
  • Running customer discovery interviews, usability testing, and feedback sessions to validate ideas and uncover unmet needs.
  • Drafting clear, comprehensive user stories and feature briefs that enable efficient product development and provide the engineering team with complete context, clarity, and alignment.
  • Working closely with engineering to refine requirements and user stories and turn them into valuable features for customers.
  • Facilitating sprint planning, backlog refinement, and ongoing team rituals to ensure alignment and continuous momentum.
  • Leading cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle, including concept ideation, prototyping, design, development, testing, and launch.
  • Analyse and act on click level usage data (collected by Datadog) from within the product to improve user experience.
  • Conducting competitive analysis and market research to stay informed about industry trends, identify product differentiators, and benchmark against competitors.
  • Acting as a product evangelist, both internally and externally, by conducting product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions to educate and engage stakeholders, customers, and sales teams.
  • Partnering with marketing, sales, and customer success to align messaging, improve enablement, and drive adoption.
  • Supporting go-to-market planning and post-launch monitoring to ensure successful product rollout and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Who we are looking for

We’re a small product team with big ambitions. We’re looking for someone who thrives on deeply understanding customer needs and is obsessive about competitors and market opportunities. You should be passionate about uncovering insights that lead to valuable, well-defined features. Attention to detail is critical - we need someone who takes pride in defining requirements with precision and clarity, and for whom detail isn’t just important, it’s essential.

  • Proven experience in B2B SaaS product management.
  • 2+ years of product management experience (preferably building products that enable collaboration and/or simplify complex workflows).
  • Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to define product requirements with a high level of precision and clarity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience working closely with customers to deeply understand their needs, pain points, and workflows, and translating those insights into product decisions.
  • Skilled at storytelling to communicate product roadmap, customer value, and team progress in a compelling and accessible way.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas, challenge assumptions, and approach problems from new angles.
  • Experience working closely with go-to-market teams (marketing, sales, customer success) to support product launches, enablement, and customer adoption.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using qualitative and quantitative insights to inform decisions, prioritise features, and measure product success.
  • The ability to drive projects forward independently with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Passion for technology, innovation, and staying updated with industry trends and best practices.

Bonus points (but don’t let these put you off applying) if:

  • You have some legal experience.
  • You have a background in computer science or another relevant technical field.

We’re interested in hiring a diverse range of candidates from all different backgrounds, so if you’re not sure if you meet our requirements, we’d still love to hear from you.#

What makes you a great match

This role is ideal for someone looking to accelerate their product management career with greater autonomy and ownership. You’ll thrive here if you’re proactive, adaptable, and energised by the pace and opportunity of a growing business in an innovative and fast-evolving market. You’ll do especially well if you’re eager to engage with internal stakeholders and customers, and committed to deeply understanding the market, user needs, and the problems we’re solving.

Who would you be working with?

You would be working with a welcoming, inclusive, and committed team.

Team culture is really important to us. We’re looking for someone excited to join as a key employee at this important stage in our growth — someone who brings fresh ideas and new perspectives to Legatics. You’ll have regular opportunities to collaborate with senior leadership and contribute directly to strategic conversations. We’re a friendly and passionate bunch with a wide range of interests, and we love to socialise together too, holding regular team events.

Benefits

What we offer you

  • Salary of £60,000 (depending on experience)
  • 25 days holiday per year (plus public holidays).
  • Early Finish Fridays - on the last Friday of every month, we finish at lunchtime!
  • Pension with NEST.
  • Personal Learning & Development budget.
  • Enhanced parental leave policies so you can spend more time with your family.
  • Lots of opportunities for accelerated professional development and career progression.
  • Work alongside a supportive and talented team with the opportunity to grow one of the world’s leading LegalTech scale-ups.
  • A warm, genuinely collaborative culture and an awesome team; and
  • Regular socials.

Power in diversity

We put users at the heart of our design to provide legal transaction experiences that everyone loves. In order to make that a reality, we seek to foster a diverse and inclusive working environment that can empower our people to be creative, effective and innovative, to build a brand we are proud of.

We don’t discriminate against gender, race, religion or belief, disability, age, marital status or sexual orientation. Whatever your background may be, we welcome anyone with talent, drive and emotional intelligence. We're committed to building a diverse team, and are constantly looking for ways to improve our processes to help us do that.
