Internal Communications Manager

Jellycat
London

For a quarter of a century, the Jellycat family have brought joy, wonder and playful fun to people of all ages, in every part of the world. Utterly original and in a class of their own, they are currently among the most loved and collected toys of their kind. How has this gentle tribe endeared themselves to so many? Perhaps it is their whimsical expressions. Or the deliciously soft fabrics. Or the beautiful way in which they sit in your hand. Whatever it is, there is something magical and unmistakeable about each one of them.

As Jellycat continues to grow globally, we want every colleague to feel informed, connected and engaged with what is happening across the business. The Internal Communications Manager will play a key role in delivering clear, engaging and consistent communications across the Jellycat Group. Working closely with the Corporate Communications Director and Global People Director, this role will manage Jellycat’s core internal communications channels and support the delivery of business-wide communications, leadership updates and key employee moments.

The role will take day-to-day ownership of Jellycat’s Group-wide intranet, lead the planning and delivery of quarterly Group Town Halls.

This is a hands-on communications role requiring strong writing, editorial judgement, project management and stakeholder management skills. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, working with senior stakeholders and turning complex or fast-moving information into clear, relevant and engaging communications.

You'll be;

  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of Jellycat’s internal communications activity across the Group.

  • Maintain a forward communications and editorial calendar aligned to key business, People, Commercial and brand priorities.

  • Identify opportunities for proactive communications and ensure important business updates are communicated clearly and at the right time.

  • Own the day-to-day management of Jellycat’s Group-wide intranet, ensuring it remains current, relevant and easy to navigate.

  • Develop and manage the intranet content plan, ensuring a regular flow of engaging stories and business updates from across the Group.

  • Research, write, edit and publish content covering teams, people, launches, business achievements and key Group activity.

  • Lead the end-to-end planning of Jellycat’s quarterly Group Town Halls.

  • Work with the CEO, SLT, Corporate Communications Director and Global People Director to develop clear agendas and engaging content.

  • Maintain high standards of writing, editing and proofreading across all communications.

  • Protect and consistently apply Jellycat’s tone of voice while adapting messaging for different audiences and channels.

You'll have;

  • Relevant experience in internal communications, corporate communications, employee engagement, content, journalism or a similar communications role.

  • Strong experience writing and editing content for different audiences and channels.

  • Experience managing an intranet, website, digital content platform or regularly updated communications channel.

  • Experience planning and delivering employee events, Town Halls, broadcasts or similar multi-stakeholder communications activity.

  • Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear and engaging communications.

  • Strong editorial judgement and attention to detail.

  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

  • Confident stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships across different functions and levels of seniority.

  • Good judgement around tone, audience, timing, confidentiality and sensitivity.

  • Comfortable using digital publishing and content management tools; experience with SharePoint or similar platforms would be advantageous.
