About Us:

THE EXTRAORDINARY STORY OF THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM

Housing and Commercial Partnerships in Westminster City Council is a world of extraordinary stories. Where people use their vision and commitment to open doors for the next generations.

Nothing beats the feeling of helping someone find their passion. At Westminster City Council, our City Lions team helps young local people engage with culture, creativity and dreams. When they came across a lonely, isolated 16-year-old who called himself a failure, they knew what to do. They worked 1-2-1 to find the thing this boy really loved. YouTube, it turned out. But it’s impossible to turn that into a career, right? Wrong. A week later, he was enrolled on the British Film Institute film-making programme. It was the ultimate light-bulb moment. And it turned him into what he is today – a budding Spielberg with a world of opportunity at his feet.

Please view the extraordinary story of the Impossible Dream .

The Role:

As a Leasing Transactions Officer, you can make your own powerful contribution to people across Westminster. Responsible for managing end-to-end lease transactions across the Private Sector Leasing portfolio, you’ll oversee lease lifecycle activity — from commencements to renewals, disposals to rent reviews.

Your day-to-day will be varied and dynamic, including everything from monitoring lease activity and pipeline performance to analysing cost and performance data to inform operational decisions, identify trends and support effective transaction management. Where delivery issues arise, you’ll take action to resolve, mitigate or escalate them — ensuring identified actions, risks and decisions are recorded and followed up. Everything you do will empower residents across Westminster, ensuring that they can count on safe, secure, high-quality housing.

Please refer to the for more information.

About You:

An established professional with experience in housing, property or leasing, you’ll have supported or managed lease lifecycle activity in a previous role. Bringing experience of general property management, you’ll have worked closely with finance teams in the past. You’ll also have developed or implemented contractual frameworks, and will be confident maintaining accurate lease, property and contract data.

On a personal level, you’ll be a true team player with excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills. You’ll take a proactive approach to delivery, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects accurately and to deadlines. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive, innovative team putting residents across Westminster first, and to supercharge your career in the process.
