We are recruiting an inspiring Year 5 Teacher to join a forward-thinking KS2 phase on a Full-Time basis. The successful Year 5 Teacher will take part in planning before January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026 as the Year 5 Teacher. This Full-Time Year 5 Teacher role suits a practitioner who enjoys curriculum leadership, enrichment projects and high expectations.
About the Year 5 Teacher role
The Year 5 Teacher will design ambitious curriculum units that deepen subject knowledge, run mathematics mastery and reasoning sequences, and embed reading comprehension strategies. The Year 5 Teacher will deliver high-impact interventions, lead a curriculum club and contribute to whole-school development. From planning tasks before January 2026 to implementation after January 2026, the Year 5 Teacher will have clear CPD and leadership support.
A week in the life of the Year 5 Teacher
Mornings: the Year 5 Teacher leads focused lessons in English and maths with retrieval practice and fluency. Afternoons: the Year 5 Teacher guides project-based foundation work and enrichment activities that extend pupils’ cultural capital. The Year 5 Teacher will mentor younger staff, lead moderation and present outcomes at phase meetings — responsibilities the Year 5 Teacher will prepare for before January 2026 and carry out from January 2026.

We seek a Year 5 Teacher with QTS, strong KS2 experience and a commitment to inclusion and high standards. The Year 5 Teacher should be ready to plan prior to January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026 as the Full-Time Year 5 Teacher. This role provides leadership coaching and progression opportunities for the Year 5 Teacher who aspires to greater responsibilities.
