The Opportunity & School Profile

Join a high-attaining D&T department. Our ECT support programme includes specific training on technical communication, helping you articulately deliver health and safety briefings and demonstrate complex tool-work to GCSE students.

Core Responsibilities & Teaching Scope

  • Creative Design: Instructing Product Design/D&T across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) only.

  • Practical Mastery: Guiding students through the design process, from CAD/CAM to final prototyping.

  • Induction Cycle: Regular 1:1 meetings with your induction lead to ensure all safety and teaching standards are exceeded.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Essential Requirements: Hold QTS. Relevant Degree in Design, Engineering, or Technology.

  • Salary: Excellent salary paid on the national Teachers' Pay Scale (M/UPS).

  • Support: Full-time D&T Technician and a well-equipped workshop.
