Legal Counsel
Our client is a rapidly expanding pan-European energy transition infrastructure company seeking a Legal Counsel to join its growing legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders and gain exposure to a diverse range of legal, commercial and strategic matters in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will play a key role in supporting the business across multiple jurisdictions and group entities. This is a broad in-house position offering exposure to corporate transactions, commercial contracts, governance matters and strategic business initiatives.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting corporate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, financing and investment activities
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements
- Advising on company law, corporate governance and company secretarial matters
- Assisting with group structuring projects and entity management across multiple jurisdictions
- Supporting lender requirements, approvals and consent processes
- Providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to stakeholders across the business
- Working closely with the General Counsel to deliver seamless legal support across the organisation
About You
We are keen to hear from lawyers who are intellectually curious, commercially aware and eager to broaden their experience in a fast-paced in-house environment.
You will likely have:
- Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales with around 4 years’ PQE
- Training at a recognised law firm, with experience in corporate, banking, finance, M&A or a related transactional practice are
- Previous in-house experience is welcomed but is not essential.
- Strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- A solid understanding of company law and corporate governance principles
- A pragmatic and solutions-focused approach to legal issues
- The confidence to work independently, take ownership of matters and support a wide range of legal work
- A desire to work closely with the business and develop broad commercial in-house experience
