Group Reservations Agent –

We have a fantastic new vacancy for a Group Reservations Agent , brand new state of the art meeting & event facilities and a popular bar and restaurant, this job will keep you busy and give you great opportunities of development

Objective of the Role

Reporting to the Reservations Manager and working closely with the Revenue Manager, the Group Reservations Agent will be the first point of contact for our guests. It is of utmost importance that the reservations department present a friendly and professional manner at all times.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• To manage all Group Block Space – Leisure Groups / Ad Hoc Corporate Groups / Exhibition & Event Groups and Allocations.
• To respond to all incoming inquiries for groups, and to get accurate and detailed quotations on timely basis from Revenue Manager.
• To be knowledgeable in the operation, functionality and standards required in using the OPERA and Ideas reservations system.
• To input Group/Block Reservations into OPERA reservations system, ensuring all details are accurate and complete in line with the agreed departmental standard.
• To ensure strict chasing / follow up / contracting procedures are in place and adhered to.
• To ensure full and accurate communication with all relevant departments on group issues and to attend Pre-Con meetings as required.
• To ensure the Groups sheet is accurately compiled and distributed on time.
• To maintain accurate filing systems for all Group correspondence within the department, and ensure all filing is completed daily.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Opera.
• Previous experience in groups or reservations.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent customer care skills.
• Excellent command of the English language both written and oral is essential.
• Ability to cope well under pressure.
• Highly motivated, and a team player.
