Merchandising Admin Assistant
Jigsaw has an entry level opening for a Merchandising Admin Assistant.
Merchandising is all about having the right stock, in the right place, at the right time, and the Merchandising Admin Assistant (MAA) plays a key role in the success of the department. We are seeking a highly organised MAA to support the team with various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and a proactive mindset, using their initiative to support the Merchandiser and wider business. This is a highly numerical and analytical role, predominantly working in Excel.
The MAA’s main responsibility is maximising sales and profits by ensuring the right quantities of stock are allocated to the right locations, at the right time, and highlighting any risks or opportunities where necessary. Additional responsibilities include: setting up weekly trade reports, managing the critical path with the Buying Admin Assistant, ensuring pricing is correct on the system, and uploading markdown and promotional prices when appropriate, as well as any ad hoc tasks that might come up.
Key Responsibilities of the Merchandising Admin Assistant:
- Allocate stock across all channels: Jigsaw stores and web, and concession stores and web.
- Run weekly Monday trade reports and circulate to the B&M team.
- Trade stock around the business to maximise sell-through.
- Work closely with the Retail team to make sure any feedback is taken on board and actioned where necessary.
- Support with store opening packages, by creating product lists and allocating stock in the system.
- Accurately manage and report on intake coming into the business, highlighting delivery issues to the erchandisers.
- Work closely with the Buying Admin Assistant to track shipments into the business, attending weekly critical path meetings.
- Ensure pricing is correct on the system, implementing any markdown or promotional activity onto reporting systems.
- Complete historical sizing analysis to create size ratios for monthly product buys.
- Support Merchandisers with ad hoc analysis.
What Jigsaw is looking for…
This is an entry-level role, so no experience within merchandising is required, we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following skills:
- Strong numerical and analytical ability, with an emphasis on attention to detail.
- Experience using Exce and all round computer literacy.
- Strong brand and competitor awareness, understanding the customer is key.
- Excellent communication skills – written and interpersonal/presenting skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise their workload.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-channel environment, being adaptable to the needs of the department.
- A team player – support the wider department objectives and activity.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to use their initiative.
